UNLV BASKETBALL: Rebels enter Salukis game with a 9-percent turnover rate, best in the nation
Nov. 21, 2009
Like it was for UNLV, 2006-07 was a very good season for Southern Illinois, which earned the Missouri Valley Conference’s highest NCAA tournament seed (No. 4) since 1979. The Salukis defeated Holy Cross and Virginia Tech, then lost to Kansas to finish that season 29-7.

Forrest Griffin, left, and Tito Ortiz embrace following their light heavyweight bout during UFC 106 Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Griffin won the bout by split decision.
Could a TUF coaching showdown be next for Ortiz and Griffin?
Nov. 22, 2009
In Forrest Griffin's eyes, he's 1-1 against Tito Ortiz, readily admitting as much. In Tito Ortiz's eyes, he should be 2-0. But the reality of the situation is that after Saturday night's split decision loss to Griffin at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, the series is, in fact, split down the middle. What better way to build up a third meeting than to have the two fan favorite light heavyweight vets square off first as coaches on the 11th season of The Ultimate Fighter?

Wranglers' losing skid continues
Nov. 21, 2009
At least the Las Vegas Wranglers scored this time. Aside from that lone Las Vegas goal, however, the Utah Grizzlies once again dominated the Wranglers at the E-Center. Schumacher adds star power to go-kart finals’ horsepower
Nov. 21, 2009
When I heard from an old racing pal that Michael Schumacher would be racing go-karts on the parking lot at the Rio this weekend, I told him I wasn’t interested, because I was covering Tiger Woods’ putt-putt match against Phil Mickelson. Then it was over to the Laughing Jackalope where U2 was playing a benefit for a school chum who had lost it all by hitting a hard 16.
